Stick to Your Resolution Smoothie

A nutritious smoothie packed with vitamins and minerals to help you stick to your New Year's resolution.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 1/2 cup frozen berries

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

Instructions:

Smooth out the mixture by mixing in the Greek yogurt, chia seeds, frozen berries, banana, and almond milk


Put it in a glass and serve right away

Linzer Biscuits

Linzer Biscuits are traditional Austrian cookies flavored with almond and raspberry. These buttery, crumbly cookies are ideal for parties and afternoon tea.

Ingredients:

  • 250g all-purpose flour

  • 150g unsalted butter, softened

  • 100g granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 100g ground almonds

  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy


Place the ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl


Combine well


Add the all-purpose flour and ground almonds slowly to make a dough


Work the dough around until it's smooth


Separate the dough into two equal parts


Roll out each half into a disc, cover it with plastic wrap, and put it in the fridge for at least an hour


Turn on your oven and heat it up to 180C 350F


Put parchment paper on the bottom of a baking sheet


On a floured surface, roll out one disc of dough to about 1/4 inch thick


Cut out the shapes of the cookies with a round cookie cutter and place them on the baking sheet that has been prepared


Make a hole in the middle of half of the cookies with a smaller cookie cutter


These cookies will be the best


After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden


Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way


Use a small amount of raspberry jam to cover the bottom of the cookies


The top cookies have had the middles cut out


Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of them


To make Linzer Biscuits, carefully place the two cookies between each other


Do it again with the rest of the dough and the scraps


Serve these tasty Linzer Biscuits and enjoy them!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 4 carrots, sliced

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can 14

  • 5 oz diced tomatoes

  • 4 cups beef broth

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

In a large bowl, toss beef cubes with flour until evenly coated


Place coated beef, potatoes, carrots, onion, and garlic into the slow cooker


Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper


Stir to combine ingredients


Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours, until beef and vegetables are tender


Serve hot and enjoy!

Enjoy flavorful and tender Mexican Pulled Pork with this easy Instant Pot Pork Carnitas recipe. The Instant Pot makes the cooking process quick and convenient, and the result is succulent and crispy pork perfect for tacos, burritos, or any Mexican dish.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder, cut into chunks

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Juice of 2 oranges

  • Juice of 2 limes

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions:

Combine cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, chili powder, black pepper, and salt


Rub the spice mixture over pork chunks


Place the seasoned pork in the Instant Pot


Add chopped onion, minced garlic, orange juice, lime juice, chicken broth, and bay leaves to the Instant Pot


Close the Instant Pot lid, set the valve to sealing, and select 'Pressure Cook' for 40 minutes


Once cooking is complete, allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure


Use two forks to shred the pork in the Instant Pot and mix with the cooking juices


Preheat the broiler


Transfer shredded pork to a baking sheet and broil for 5-7 minutes until edges are crispy


Serve the carnitas in tacos, burritos, or as desired
